TrueTouch Launches Predator with a Beach Cleanup in the Shark Bite Capital of the World

TrueTouch Floors celebrated the nationwide launch of its Predator MonoTech Collection in a way that felt right at home in New Smyrna Beach: by getting people out on the sand, cleaning up the coastline and putting its partnership with 4ocean front and center.

Floor Covering News recently covered the launch event, which brought together TrueTouch distributors, flooring industry leaders and members of the local community for a beach cleanup followed by a launch celebration. The event also included support for the Marine Discovery Center, a New Smyrna Beach nonprofit dedicated to marine education, conservation and restoration.

Predator is a 100% waterproof, real-wood MonoTech floor made without PVC, plastic or adhesives. That plastic-free construction fits naturally with TrueTouch’s ongoing partnership with 4ocean. As a 4ocean Pull a Pound Partner, TrueTouch helps fund the removal of one pound of plastic and trash from oceans, rivers and coastlines for every 100 square feet of flooring sold.

That commitment has become an important part of the TrueTouch story. It connects the products we sell with measurable action beyond the floor itself—and with Predator, the connection is especially fitting. The collection’s marketing turns the idea of the “predator” on its head: plastic is the real threat, while a plastic-free waterproof floor offers another way forward.

The New Smyrna Beach cleanup gave that message a very real local expression. Guests competed to collect the most trash and find the strangest discarded item, while TrueTouch also made a donation to the Marine Discovery Center. With New Smyrna Beach known as the Shark Bite Capital of the World, the location could hardly have been more appropriate for a collection called Predator.

The event also gave TrueTouch an opportunity to celebrate the distributors and partners helping bring Predator to market nationwide. FloorDaily’s coverage and podcast discussion expanded on that story, including TrueTouch’s continued growth, its expanding distribution network and a preview of the company’s upcoming ChronoCarbon Core technology.

Predator may have been the reason everyone came to the beach, but the bigger story was about what TrueTouch wants the collection to represent: innovative flooring, strong partnerships and a commitment to leaving a little less plastic behind.
